At the beginning of July, I teamed up with Laura Dean to make a short film the The 2010 San Francisco Three-Minute Picture Show. It was just a little side project we decided to do, you know, for fun.

We had 30 days to come up with an idea, story board it, build props, shoot and edit it. It was a blast. We had fun just doing it. Needless to say, we were completely blown away…

Three Minute Picture Show

After 30 days of intense labor, we are pleased to invite you to the premier of our new short film “Home,” at The 2010 San Francisco Three-Minute Picture Show, on August 28, 2010.

30 days is not a long time to prepare, shoot and edit a film, even if it is only a three minute film. In fact, the extremely limited run time can prove to be quite challenging and require some very clever thinking on the part of the film makers.

The art of arranging type is perhaps one of the most important studies for a graphic designer. Typography is such a complex and sophisticated examination, you can easily lose yourself in the finer intricacies of this study. You can also amass quite an extensive personal library of type faces and spend exorbitant amounts of time hunting and sifting for the right font.
