2007 leaves behind a blistery stint in Buffalo, NY and, thankfully, my last ever phone pictures (below) taken from my never-to-be-missed Pocket PC.
From this vantage point, the new year could only look spectacular in the least (not that I have anything against Buffalo).

The blistering 6 days you spent in Buffalo were pretty mild compared to the usual winter weather. The worst of it usually entails travel bans, the national guard and the eventual need to shovel your car out of a mound of snow and ice.
By the way, thanks for calling the yard of my childhood a “dystopic snow scene”…
I’m quite sure that if you look up Buffalonian in the in dictionary, you will be instructed to see Dystopian, but your point is well taken.
Please forgive the Californian in me, if ice covered swimming pools seem a bit dystopic. It appalls me, as much as it does you, to realize this.
